The Financial Services industry spends a significant amount of money on regulatory reporting compliance. Firms executing derivatives transactions are struggling with the ability to identify issues, errors and inconsistencies in the data that they report to regulatory agencies due to the volume and complexity of information to review, which puts them at risk of regulatory criticism and potential enforcement actions.  The regulations are known but how to best address them remains a challenge. 

I worked closely with business stakeholders to understand the inner workings of the financial trade reporting process to develop a product from the ground up that digitized a terribly manual process. Luna helped financial institutions improve the quality of trade reporting to proactively identify issues in their process and avoid regulatory fines.

Luna, externally known as PwC Trade Reporting Diagnostic Tool, is an automated trade reporting tool to assess the quality of reported trade & position data required by regulators to quantify and manage regulatory risk. It allows clients to identify areas that are of greatest concern to the organization from a regulatory risk perspective, and would enable root-cause analysis and remediation, which PwC could continue to advise on.
